It’s the New Year!  As we begin the New Year, I have been on board with SAU 58 for exactly six months.  In that time,

 

Four students, Christopher Holbrook, Julius Peel, Lydia Cross, and Shaelynn DeMers, participated in the St. Jude Math-A- Thon and together collected $365 toward research. 

 

Groveton Elementary School invited us to join them at TBA Theatre in Lancaster to see Mr. Magoriums Wonder Emporium.  The students exhibited their best behavior and had a wonderful time.  The staff was certainly proud of the way they represented our school.  Groveton Elementary School has also invited staff and students to join them on Skiing days in January and February for various presentations.  We are looking forward to joining them.

 

The Christmas Dinner was well attended with Sandy Tilton, Charity Riegel, and Derrick Croteau serving 46 individuals.  A big thank you goes out to them for the wonderful meal they prepared and served.  We would also like to thank members of the community that were able to join us for this event. 

 

Congratulations to our November students of the month, Spencer Shannon and Christopher Holbrook and December students David Gilman and Tatum Hudson.  If you have not had the opportunity to join us for a Recognition Assembly please consider joining us at our next one on January 23rd at 9:30.

 

The SOS committee will be hosting a dance at the school on January 11th.  Kindergartens through third grade are invited to attend from 4:00-5:30 and students in grades 4-6 from 6:00-8:00.  The cost is $3 and snacks will be sold.  If you would be willing to chaperone the dance or contribute a snack, please call us at the school.

 

Keep in mind that grades close on January 18th with report cards being issued on the 25th.  With any luck, NECAP results will be available on the 29th of January.
